The CNAM was created in 1794, during the French Revolution, on the location of a medieval monastery, the royal abbey of Saint-Martin des Champs. Nowadays, thanks to its integrated network, the Cnam spreads higher adult education, in France and abroad.

The CNAM is located at 2 rue Conté, Paris, in the 3rd district of Paris.

The Cnam hosts the Musée des Arts et Métiers that you will be able to visit during the conference. The museum groups a collection of inventions, including the Foucault pendulum.

Because CNAM is a large historic campus, participants are encouraged to allow a few extra minutes to locate the correct entrance and lecture hall. You should use the entrance “ 2 rue conté”.

  • By air: There are two airports in Paris (Charles de Gaulle and Orly).

        30 mn, every 12 mn, stops at Porte d’Orléans, Montparnasse, Duroc, Aérogare des Invalides.

        25 mn, every 12 mn, to Denfert-Rochereau.
      • Train: Orly Rail navette ADP + RER C
        40 mn, every 15 mn, connection with line C – RER (Austerlitz, Saint-Michel,…).
    • From Roissy – Charles de Gaule airport
      • Bus: Air France
        35 mn, every 15 mn, Porte Maillot, Arc de Triomphe-Étoile.
        45 mn, on the hour, Montparnasse.
      • Roissy Bus RATP
        45 mn, every 15 mn, Opéra – rue Scribe.
      • Train: Roissy Rail
        25 mn, every 15 mn, line B – RER (Gare du Nord, Châtelet-Les Halles, Saint-Michel,…).
  • By train: There are several main stations in Paris from which you can take underground (Metro) to reach the conference.
