For participants coming from abroad, Paris is served by two main airports: Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) and Orly Airport (ORY). The venue is located in central Paris and can be reached conveniently by metro, RER, airport shuttle, taxi, or private car.
Reaching the Venue by Metro (underground)
The CNAM conference venue is very well connected by the Paris metro.
Closest stations:
- Réaumur–Sébastopol : Served by Metro Lines 3 and 4
- Arts et Métiers: Served by Metro Lines 3 and 11
From either station, the venue is only a short walk away.
For international visitors unfamiliar with Paris public transport, the metro is usually the simplest and most affordable way to travel across the city. Station names are clearly displayed on trains and platforms. It is helpful to check the final destination of the line before boarding, since trains travel in two directions.
Arriving by Taxi or Ride Service
Taxis and ride-hailing services are widely available from both airports and railway stations.
Please note that travel times in Paris can vary significantly depending on traffic, especially during rush hours. As a general indication:
- From Orly Airport: approximately 30 to 45 minutes
- From Charles de Gaulle Airport: approximately 45 to 60 minutes
When arriving from the airport with luggage, a taxi may be the most comfortable option, especially for first-time visitors.
Arriving by Air
- From Orly Airport (ORY)
Orly Airport is located south of Paris. Several transport options are available:- Option 1: Metro
- Take Metro Line 14 toward central Paris. This is one of the fastest and easiest options. Travel time is approximately 30 minutes, with trains running very frequently, especially during peak
hours. You can then connect to other metro lines to reach the venue.

- Option 2: Orlybus
- Take the Orlybus shuttle to Denfert-Rochereau. The journey takes about 25 minutes, with departures approximately every 12 minutes. From Denfert-Rochereau, you can continue by metro to the conference venue.
- Option 3: Train (Orlyval + RER)
- Take the airport shuttle to connect with the RER suburban train network. This option takes about 40 minutes and offers connections to major central Paris stations such as Saint-Michel and Gare d’Austerlitz.
- Option 4: Airport coach
- buses also connect Orly to several key points in Paris, including Porte d’Orléans, Montparnasse, Duroc, and Invalides. From any of these stops, you may continue by metro or taxi.

Details for Option 3: Train (Orlyval + RER)
- Take Orlyval until Antony.
- Buy an RER ticket to Paris-section-urbaine (metro ticket included).
- Take the RER B and get off at “Châtelet-les Halles” station.
- Take a correspondence to metro line 4 direction “Porte de Clignancourt” and get off at “Réaumur Sébastopol” Station and take the exit “Rue Papin”.
From Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)
Charles de Gaulle Airport is located northeast of Paris.
- Option 1: RER B train
Take the RER B train toward central Paris. This is generally the most practical option. The journey to central Paris takes about 25 to 35 minutes, depending on your stop. Key stations include Gare du Nord, Châtelet–Les Halles, and Saint-Michel. From there, you can transfer to the metro.
Option 2: Roissybus
Take the Roissybus to Opéra in central Paris. The trip takes approximately 45 minutes, with departures every 15 minutes.
Option 3: Airport coach services
Bus services are also available from CDG to Porte Maillot, Arc de Triomphe–Étoile, and Montparnasse. Travel time ranges from 35 to 45 minutes, depending on destination and traffic.
Details for Option 1: RER B train
- Depending on your Terminal of arrival (1 or 2), you may walk to the RER (train) station or you may need to take a free bus shuttle.
- Buy an RER ticket to Paris-section-urbaine (metro ticket included).

Arriving by Train
Paris is also served by six train stations situated in the centre of the capital, among which:
- Gare du Nord, from Belgium, the Netherlands and UK
- Gare de l’Est, from Germany and beyond
- Gare de Lyon, from Switzerland, Italy, and Spain
From these, you can take a metro or one of the taxis parked in front of every station.
Arriving by Car
Participants arriving by car may use one of the nearby public parking facilities:

Please note that driving and parking in central Paris can be difficult, so public transport is generally recommended.
Transport in Paris area
Even though there are many ways to travel in Paris including taxis, buses and even by foot; one convenient way to quickly reach all destinations is the Metro. There are 14 metro lines crossing Paris in every direction, which are complemented by Local trains (named “RER”) to access the suburban area.
Several city bus lines stop near the venue, including: Bus 20, Bus 38, Bus 39, Bus 47These buses serve central Paris and may be convenient depending on your hotel location
